Bamboo Zanzibar

Our stay at Bamboo Hotel was wonderful. The property is small, not crowded, and features stunning architecture in a dreamlike location right by the turquoise waters. The views – whether from the infinity pool, the room, or the restaurant – are absolutely breathtaking. The staff are exceptionally friendly, helpful, and warm, making the stay feel personal. Rooms are clean, modern, and beautifully designed, with excellent housekeeping. A plus: laundry service is mostly included. The gym is surprisingly spacious and well-equipped, with both free weights and machines, and the spa offers great treatments for relaxation. The food at the hotel is delicious, from breakfast to dinner, and the atmosphere – whether enjoying a romantic candlelight dinner or a relaxed breakfast with an ocean view – is truly special. Minor downsides: Orders can sometimes take quite a while and occasionally something gets forgotten (“pole pole” – the local, relaxed pace). Service standards are not always exactly what you might expect in Central Europe – for example, red wine might occasionally be served a little too warm. However, none of this was a real issue for us, and it all felt part of the very laid-back island charm. Be patient! Conclusion: A beautiful, peaceful boutique hotel with a lovely setting, extremely kind staff, excellent food, and stunning views. Perfect for unwinding and enjoying a peaceful break.

Booked a 3 night stay at bamboo, one of the most pretty rooms I have stayed at with an amazing view. Booked the room in the jungle villa which was a surreal experience but definitely wouldn’t recommend for those who have insect phobias. The service was 10/10, the workers made our experience 10x better and tried to accommodate in every way they could. There was a 24 hour security at our villa which made us feel super safe. Also booked a night at the ocean view villa which was also absolutely beautiful. Definitely recommend and would visit again.
