Its okay though not a 4 star in my opinion, 3 at most, it is located well in easy reach of restaurant cafes bars and tourist attractions, the rooms themselves reasonable size just not looked after, needs some updating and repairs. They do have massages on site and the 2 ladies that do them are very good. But any one can come in to use that service I believe. I had foot and shoulder massage for 40myr for 60mins. Breakfast is limited selection, better to go out and eat considering its pretty cheap in Penang any how. Air con in room though one in our room was not getting cold like our friends in another room in Same place.

Where do i even start... 2 years ago i stayed at this place with a visa run and it was fine. Last month i went on a trip to penang and i thought "well, this place was pretty good" oh how wrong i was. It took the receptionist about 30 minutes to find our booking and check in, once we open the doors to our room we just see a pile of dirt on the floor, mold on the walls and a really funky "shut in" smell. The aircon was barely functional and the bathroom was tiny. Okay, i thought maybe i stayed in an upgraded room the previous time. So we went to the reception to try and upgrade our room, it was barely possible but after a while it worked out, right when we pay for the upgrade my sister, who had booked another room came to complain that her aircon was not working. The manager on the phone started being more and more aggresive and i did not understand a word she said, the receptionist was not to any help either. After a while i left to check into my new room, it was fine but nothing special. Then the day after i find out my sister had to pay 60RM extra to get a new room with a working aircon. Completely insane, but the even crazier thing is that the aircon was not working in the room that she had to pay 60RM, and she found old dirty ladies underwear behind the door to the bathroom. Oh, and when i needed to print some papers the receptionist was on the phone, so i sat down right infront of his desk to wait until his call was finished, after about 15 minutes i realized it was a personal call and he had no interest in asking me if he could help me out with anything. This hotel is total BS and i will never, ever set my foot here again. Completely under any kind of standard, whatsoever. I have had bad hotel visits in my years of living abroad, but this beats it all. P. S i work in the hotel / restaurant business.

This place is Horrid! The rooms look like they haven't been updated in 30 years. The tv gets one channel. The wifi doesn't work (even after changing rooms twice) the water ran out in the middle of my shower with soap in my hair. Had all windows and doors closed with the fan and ac on and still got chewed up by mosquitos. The electricity doesn't work unless the one key they give you is in the key switch ..... which is normal for most southeast asian hotels but the small refrigerator is on that same circuit also, so good luck trying to keep anything cold.... and free breakfast? Sure it is but be prepared to speak the local language to be able to get something close to what you want from the very limited menu.
