Bangtao Anchan Boutique Resort

Sister stayed here for 3 weeks, then I stayed for a week after. Has a pool, but is in need of some upkeep, or renovations. Suite was nice w/ a washer/dryer unit, nice big fridge, sink and small elec cook top (very minimal utensils & such), kettle. Shower and tub, soft bed, couch, coffee table, closet, TV (no service though), free wifi, kitchen table w/ 2 chairs. balcony w/ couple chairs and a drying rack. Rented through a family member (monthly), and never really received and services of any kind (bed changing, towels, water), wr were kind of on our own. There is a section that has been renovated, and has its own private small pool, and hopefully they'll continue on w/ the rest of the place. No reaturant here but has a great little coffee shop almost right across the street, and a big resturant at the intersection at the end of the street (easy walk).

Generally we are not satisfied with this hotel, because the environment is poor and the facilities lack of maintenance. It should be defined as airB&B instead of a hotel, which is highly overcharged. I carefully read all comments in Google App, there was an owner exchange occurred in last 1 or 2 years. 1. In google map it is listed as 4-star hotel, but the facilities and rooms can NOT be reached as-claimed standard. Currently the hotel is being decorated, quite noisy. 2. The room is clean, but the comforter, blanket, sheets, and pillows are NOT, where some dirty spots were not removed entirely. 3. Facilities are old and dirty because of lack of maintenance. The swimming pool is full of algae, dust and falling leaves. 4. Basically no service except room cleaning. 5. The location is acceptable, 15 min walk to Bangtao beach.

First off this place is not a resort! The photos are cat-fishing. The property is ran down and very outdated. 1st: when you enter its in a excluded area. No bar or lobby nothing. You just stand there and wait for someone which was Mr. Ye. 2nd: the property is ran down! Outdated! Nothing like the photos. I'll say 15 years or more Outdated. 3rd: he tried to "upgrade me to a smaller room next to the pool. The room was small and smelled like mildew. I opted for the original room and that was worse. The room smelled of mildew. The kitchen area is outside un insulated. Filled with mosquitos! So you have to keep the door to the room closeed. The room was very humid and filled with mosquitos! And I think fleas. I sprayed the room with my repellent and still got bit by something! 4th: EVERYTHING had stains on it. The couch, floor,and walls I was scared to check the bed. It looked hard😭 5: you can't get your money back. I'm sure they need the money the way it looks but Mr Ye will not refund you all your money. I sat there about an hour and found another hotel I had to leave. Very uncomfortable. Smh DO NOT BOOK. You will be photo fished. I don't have allergies but when I walked in I kept sneezing and nose got stuffy.
