Banks Mansion

This was one of our most favorite hotel experiences ever. My wife and I stayed here for 4 nights during our honeymoon, and couldn't have been happier with the experience. The staff was so nice and helpful as soon as we stepped in the door, and continued to be super helpful with recommendations, making reservations for us, and just being great to chat with! The lobby was such a fun place to socialize before we'd go out, where they have an open bar and espresso machine. Every evening they'd also bring the wine and cheese carts out; which we tried to never miss, haha. There was a very solid free breakfast every morning as well. They really make it feel like you're at home here, where you're not constantly thinking about "how much does that cost?" while making it super easy to socialize with the other guests and staff if that's your thing. The room was clean and everything worked how it was supposed to. The location was also perfect for us; it was usually a quick walk to go anywhere we wanted, but was also decently quiet (although we were there during the week, so perhaps weekends might get a little louder). We tell all of our friends and family that this hotel really helped make for a very special Amsterdam trip. We highly recommend this place!

My wife and I stayed here 2 nights prior to our Rhine river cruise at the end of March. Bottom line up front: This is an amazing place. We arrived about 6am. Obviously our room was not ready, but they quickly got us checked in and gladly held our bags so we could go explore the city. Upon our return later in the evening, we retrieved our bags and went to our 3rd floor room. It was clean, nice sized and overlooked the canal. Since we had been up for hours we just ate "dinner" from the cheese trolley. Had wine, crackers, meat and cheese. The next morning we made our way downstairs for breakfast. What wonderful selection. All of the food was fresh, and tasty. The open bar was nice with a good selection of spirits and mixers. All of the staff were friendly, knowledgeable and helpful.

This is the best hotel in all of Amsterdam! There is a 24/7 open bar where you can make your own drinks whenever you would like them! They also do cheese and crackers from 5 to 6, there is snacks in the morning, breakfast is included, unlimited espresso. The staff is helpful and kind, and goes completely out of their way to make sure that you’re having an amazing time at their hotel. I have never wanted to hang out in a hotel like this before. I highly highly recommend this hotel and will stay here again if I’m in Amsterdam.
