I had a wonderful stay here and will definitely come back! 10-15 mins from the airport! My room was both beautiful and spacious, with a lovely tub that made for a perfect evening. I got to relax and literally soak in the beauty. The ample workspace was another highlight, making our work meetings comfortable and productive. While I didn’t get a chance to use the pool, breakfast was well-prepared and served promptly by our lovely host. The service and ambiance were excellent, making my stay truly enjoyable. This is the place to be if you're ever in the area! However, carry your drinking water or come prepared to pay for it. Otherwise, I highly recommend.
I shot my wedding pictures at this hotel during sunset. If you are planning to shoot at this location during the evening please know that there is no lighting available both inside and outside of the venue which leaves the place completely dark at the parking and garden front as well as around the pool area and balcony. All in all the hotel is very dark and gloomy at and after sunset and they had no generator in the rooms for cases of loadshedding. The room was beautiful if you love the vintage vibe like I do. If you want something more modern then the banksia definitely isn’t it. I had a Mountain View room, please remember that The place is situated in a residential area so views are not the best. However, The service was swift and amazing! Thanks to the management.
Not a bad experience, but not one I'd give 5 stars. The exterior of the place and the interior pool area are beautiful and serene. The hotel was nice and peaceful. Service was friendly and the staff was always helpful, but the other elements left me wanting. Double check the views of the room before booking cause I got a ground floor unit that offered no nice views, and workers who roamed the grounds occasionally could see into the room if my curtains were open. Also not all rooms have a bathtub - double check that as well if you're keen on having the option. Food is a big part of the experience for me, and unfortunately it wasn't great. Breakfast options were ok, but not great in terms of the selection and even the taste. I make better breakfast at home :( Sausages and bacon tasted odd. Not sure where they buy them from but the quality was just poor. Room service offered 3 bacon/ham sandwiches and nothing else. Would be great if they could also offer a simple salad as an option, or a simple chicken and chips. Maybe my expectations were through the roof given the great reviews but for me, although it was a nice stay overall, it's not really worth returning and paying a premium given the many options around. Didnt tick all the boxes of luxury. I'd give them a 3.5/5.
