Banyan Tree Kuala Lumpur

I recently stayed at this hotel and had an absolutely fantastic experience from start to finish. The view from my room was nothing short of stunning — waking up to a scenic landscape every morning was a highlight of my trip. Whether it was sunrise or sunset, the surroundings were always picture-perfect. What truly made the stay memorable, however, was the service. The staff were friendly, attentive, and genuinely committed to making sure every guest felt welcomed and cared for. I especially want to give a big shoutout to Hakim, who went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable. His professionalism, warm demeanor, and willingness to help with any request stood out and made a lasting impression. If you’re looking for a hotel with beautiful views and top-notch service, I highly recommend staying here. I’ll definitely be returning!

Normally, most 5-star hotels are just OK, not great. But Banyan Tree KL provides me with another level of service. They handled even small things well. I arrived early morning as scheduled and had no intention of early check-in but maybe just to drop off my bags. I went out for my scheduled activities and forgot about the check-in, just hoping the room would be ready when I returned. But they even took care of the next level of my expectations and prepared my room earlier than I thought and informed me through the WhatsApp, and brought all my bags up for me. And like other reviews mention, they have great facilities and services, and also nice views from the restaurant. I usually only leave a review if I want to complain, but this hotel makes me do exactly the opposite. They really are great.

Breakfast was underwhelming — the food was average, the coffee forgettable, and the service unremarkable. The strict breakfast dress code felt unnecessarily rigid. Being asked to change out of hotel slippers just to grab a morning coffee seemed out of step with the otherwise relaxed, resort-like atmosphere. And if the hotel insists on formality, it should be matched with a breakfast experience that genuinely feels refined. Additionally, having two single beds pushed together to form a double is not what you'd expect from a hotel of this calibre — it's a detail that detracts from the overall comfort. Final Thoughts: Banyan Tree shines in many of the big-picture elements: design, atmosphere, and spa services are all exceptional. But inconsistencies in the basics — like breakfast and bedding — make the experience feel slightly out of touch with its five-star aspirations. Come for the views and the calm, but temper your expectations on the finer details.
