My stay at Banyan Tree Hotel was absolutely wonderful! From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed with a glass of wine, setting the tone for a truly relaxing experience. The hospitality was exceptional—every staff member (especially Ernesto) we encountered was kind, attentive, and genuinely committed to making our stay special. Both dinner and breakfast were fantastic, with delicious flavors and a well-curated menu that left us more than satisfied. The ambiance of the hotel was serene and luxurious, making it the perfect getaway. As a travel advisor, I can’t recommend Banyan Tree Hotel enough and would definitely return for another unforgettable stay!
I’m still not over how nice this place is. We spent the weekend at Banyan tree right after Valentines Day and it was truly incredible. Easily the nicest room I’ve ever stayed in. The Serenity Suites are the only ones with a tub in the shower room (yes- a SHOWER ROOM!) The sliding door off the shower room leads outside half a step away from your private plunge pool, which was the temperate id a warm bath- perfection. The bedding was a dream, I had some of the best nights of sleep I can remember. And waking up to that view was surreal. The entire staff was top notch. Fleur was fantastic - professional, funny, and personable. The Executive Chef Danny made us the best avocado toast I’ve ever had- and I’m a white lady from LA. Book now- this experience would be 5x the price in the states.
I stayed at this hotel over the weekend and, unfortunately, the experience did not meet expectations for a property advertised as five-star. In reality, the service and facilities are more in line with a three-star hotel. We paid $600 for one night in a villa that, upon arrival, did not have a functioning door lock. I reported the issue and was told it had been fixed. However, when I returned to the villa, the lock was still not working. I spent nearly an hour on the phone asking to be moved to another villa, which was eventually arranged. Overall, the service was basic, and the staff lacked the training you would expect from a hotel in this category. Despite expressing my concerns, there was little interest or accountability from the team, and no manager ever came forward to address the situation. I would not recommend this hotel, especially considering the price point and the expectations that come with a five-star rating.
