I recently had the pleasure of staying at Baraza Resort & Spa in Zanzibar, and it was truly an incredible experience. From the moment I arrived, the warm hospitality and attention to detail were evident. The resort's architecture and design beautifully reflect the rich Swahili culture, creating an ambiance of elegance and tranquility. My villa was spacious, impeccably clean, and offered a private plunge pool, making it a perfect retreat. The food was exceptional, with a variety of dishes that catered to all tastes, and the staff went above and beyond to ensure every meal was memorable. The beach was pristine, and the spa treatments provided a perfect blend of relaxation and rejuvenation. What truly sets Baraza apart is the unparalleled service; every staff member was attentive, friendly, and committed to making my stay unforgettable. I wholeheartedly recommend Baraza Resort & Spa to anyone seeking a luxurious and culturally enriching getaway.

I stayed in Baraza Resort after a safari trip. For me, this was perfect due to the safari being intense- although still amazing- with early starts. Baraza was a juxtaposition- still being an amazing stay. There was so much freedom during our stay, with flexible times to eat and a plethora of activities such as the reef walk, snorkelling, and other water sports. All the food was very nice from breakfast, lunch and dinner. The staff were attentive, such as Cosmos our personal villa host. This skilled group of staff helped to teach me a handful of swahili which I was able to practise throughout my stay. One criticism however was the fitness centre (or gym). The gym held all the basics you would want for cardio or weightlifting such as treadmills, a smith machine and a weights rack. Although, when i arrived, the lat pulldown machine was broken and some machines did not feel smooth and dated. Although, this was not expected due to hotel gyms not needing to be superior. Overall, my stay at Baraza was very relaxing and enjoyable.

The spa is a sanctuary in itself, delivering world-class treatments in an atmosphere of complete tranquility. The staff are simply exceptional. Their warmth, attentiveness, and genuine hospitality made us feel not just welcomed, but truly cared for. Special thanks to the diving center team, especially Lourenço, who was outstanding—professional, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable. Exploring the underwater beauty of Zanzibar with such a skilled and kind guide was an unforgettable highlight. Another standout was Lucas, the executive chef. His passion and mastery were evident in every bite—an artist in the kitchen, blending local flavors with international finesse. His presence and insights added depth to the culinary experience, making each meal a celebration. The resort's evening entertainment during dinner was another thoughtful touch—elegant, culturally enriching, and perfectly curated to complement the ambiance without ever feeling intrusive. Every corner of Baraza whispers indulgence, every moment feels intentional, and every guest is made to feel like royalty. It’s more than a resort—it’s a complete, immersive experience of beauty, peace, and top-tier hospitality. I can’t recommend it highly enough.
