I was concerned after reading reviews, but my family and I had a very pleasant 2 night stay. The hotel has a very pleasing modern design and the room/bathroom were nicely updated. I'm thankful we were able to have an early check in and rest before our scheduled tour in the afternoon. The breakfast was lackluster and I wouldn't recommend it for anyone wanting a nice quality meal, but it fulfilled our needs. Room service had a decent menu and there was very little wait time. The shuttle was timely and a quick 10 minute drive brought us straight to the terminal.
This is one of the best airport hotels I have stayed at. True 4 star hotel with clean spacious rooms and free min bar and quality coffees. We didn't have enough time to enjoy breakfast long enough, but it looked much better than other 4 star hotels in Barcelona or other European cities like Paris, Milan, Frankfurt, etc. The only downside is the hotel shuttle pickup spot which is a bit far from the baggage claims. But coming back to the airport was so much easier. So no complaints about it :) They also have a nice size (and deep enough) outdoor swimming pool.
It’s not surprising this hotel has a 3.9 rating from over 4,000 guests. While some staff members were pleasant, a few were unfortunately rude and passive-aggressive, which left a negative impression on my overall experience. For the price—around €180 per night—I expected much better service and amenities. Basic items such as slippers, a shower cap, toothbrush, and other standard essentials typically provided in higher-end hotels were missing. For this budget, you could easily stay in a centrally located hotel in Barcelona with more attentive staff and a complete range of amenities. In comparison, in Dubai, you can find 4–5 star hotels with excellent facilities, outstanding service, and full amenities for even less than €100 per night. Another major issue was the misleading information about the free shuttle service. They failed to mention that the “shuttle bus” is actually a minivan. I waited over 1 hour and 45 minutes outside the terminal looking for a full-sized bus, which wasted both time and energy. For anyone planning to stay here for convenience, note that the shuttle is a white or gray minivan with a large BAH (Barcelona Airport Hotel) logo in blue or navy on both sides.
