Barcelona Next Door Gothic Window

It was the best experience I have had with hostels ever! Location is greatest - it's in the beautiful Gothic district and there are restaurants of all types, metro and bus stops, ATMs, laundry and all other stuff in one step. Hostel personnel was very nice and helpful. You can reach Barcelona beaches with walking.

I survived Safestay Gothic! After reading all the previous reviews, I was concerned for the safety of my belongings during for my stay. Luckily, nothing bad happened, even though it appeared the people staying were a mix of tourists and locals strapped for cash. And the service was really good, all of the staff were very helpful. My main complaint is the room, there was not enough ventilation. The air was really stuffy so I didn't feel restored from my sleep. Most other hostels I stayed in had an accessible window or good ventilation.

Trust me, you do not want to stay here. Yes it is cheap and has great location but the experience that people have had with this hostel is so unprofessional. The manager will never email you back. I have emailed him about six times to get a refund and their phone is not connected. No one seems to be able to get a hold of them. They overbook rooms and are so unorganized that they don’t even know who’s staying in which bed. Trust me when I say pay the extra dollars and stay somewhere else, this place is a joke. I have been asking through email for a refund and no response. Save yourself the trouble and stay somewhere else. And my passport went missing and I believe it was taken there
