Barceló Istanbul

I had a wonderful stay at Barceló Hotel Istanbul, and one of the highlights was definitely the breakfast buffet. Every single morning, Aminah and Nour went above and beyond to ensure we were not only satisfied, but genuinely delighted with the food and service. Their warm hospitality, attention to detail, and friendly attitudes made our mornings extra special. They truly made us feel welcome and taken care of. I stayed at the Barcelo Hotel for a week and had the opportunity to observe many aspects of the experience. Initially, I was inclined to rate it 3 out of 5 stars due to a very inflexible refund policy. I had booked the hotel for six nights, but on the fourth night, our plans changed and I needed to check out early. Unfortunately, I was informed that no refund would be issued for the remaining two nights. This kind of policy feels more in line with a budget motel than a five-star establishment. A true five-star hotel should operate with an abundance mindset — understanding that if one guest leaves, another will gladly take their place. That said, what truly sets Barcelo apart is its exceptional staff. I had the pleasure of meeting several team members who made my stay genuinely memorable: first and foremost, Melek Hanım from the room service team, Helin from the Champs restaurant, and Nur and Aylin from the breakfast team — you are all outstanding. Thank you for your warm hospitality and excellent service. I look forward to returning and seeing you again on my next stay at Barcelo.

Chef Noor not only served us unforgettable meals, but also helped us a lot throughout our visit. Her food was rich in flavor and her kindness made the experience even better. We’re truly grateful! (highly recommended)
