Barceló Maya Colonial All Inclusive

We absolutely love coming to Barceló! Everything is always so cozy, neat, and perfectly clean. We’ve been coming here for 10 years, and each year the service somehow gets even better! One of the highlights of our stay is enjoying the buffet, and we want to give special thanks to Saul Perez, Francisco (with big heart and smile), and Jose Arcos. These gentlemen work incredibly hard and go above and beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable every single day. They are not only professional, but also genuinely friendly and kind. Their dedication and warm personalities truly make our experience unforgettable. Thank you for everything — we can’t wait to come back again!

Love Kyoto! Have snagged a reservation for teppanyaki three times because it’s so fun to watch Chef Pablo perform, Addy Chan took care of us and refilled our drinks before we were done, kept on top of service for us. The food was delicious every time we came, great for kids and families.

Most services are not included in the all inclusive price. You have to pay for additional things like use of the bowling alley or arcade. Room service is also not included. Most of the specialty restaurants were booked out. We only managed to get a reservation for one night of the 4 nights we stayed there. The buffet food was alright, nothing special. Some of the buffet restaurants would also serve cold food, which was disappointing. Some aspects I did enjoy, though, were the night entertainment, the activities for the kids club during the day, and the free mini golf. Overall, it wasn't a bad experience, but it wasn't an impressive one either.
