Barceló Maya Palace All Inclusive

A must consider resort if you are planning vacations in Cancun. We spent 7 days and I don't even know how those days passed in a wink. Very courteous staff and well maintained property. We saw sea weed up to 2-3 feet piled up on a regular basis near the shore and there were people who constantly cleaning up the area to make the beach accessible to their guests safely. Food was delicious with such a huge spread of different cuisine and it was all unlimited. The liquors were served from the top shelf. The vacation services guys and the guest operator service team is extremely amazing as they are they are the ones who kept us running and planning for us for 7 days so meticulously. Overall it's a must visit and I highly recommend and I would like to visit this place once again in future

Update After One Week – Beautiful Resort, but Food Needs Improvement ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ After spending a full week at Barcelo Palace, I can confidently say this is a stunning resort with top-notch service. From the start, we felt welcomed and taken care of—especially thanks to Diego Diaz, an incredible bartender who was not only friendly but made every drink with precision. He truly set the tone for a great first impression. However, after experiencing the resort in full, I feel it’s only fair to update my review and give a more complete picture. While the grounds, service, and overall experience remain excellent, the food quality falls short of the five-star standard. The buffets are repetitive, most pastries aren’t fresh, and there’s a surprising lack of variety in fresh juices—something we expected more of in a tropical setting. The most disappointing aspect was the à la carte restaurants, especially the Brazilian steakhouse. As a Brazilian who has dined at authentic steakhouses across the world, I can say this one didn’t come close to delivering the quality, flavor, or atmosphere you'd expect. It felt like a themed concept rather than a real culinary experience. Also worth noting: during this time of year, the beach is heavily affected by seaweed, making snorkeling more of a challenge. It’s doable, but not ideal if that’s a key part of your trip. Final thoughts: the Barcelo Palace is a gorgeous place to relax, with excellent hospitality and beautiful surroundings. But if food and beach activities are high on your list, you may want to adjust your expectations or consider the season when planning.

Our waiter, Alejandro Carrasco, and his assistant, Julian Ruiz, went above and beyond to make our dinner memorable. They were attentive without being intrusive, anticipating every need with a smile and genuine warmth. Their teamwork was seamless—drinks were refilled before we even asked, courses arrived perfectly timed, and every detail was handled with care. It’s rare to encounter service that feels both professional and heartfelt, but Alejandro and Julian delivered just that. They made us feel like valued guests, not just customers, and turned a great meal into an unforgettable dining experience. We will absolutely be returning—and when we do, we’ll be asking for Alejandro and Julian. Simply the best service ever.
