Barceló Montecastillo Golf

We absolutely loved our stay at this hotel, truly one of the best experiences we’ve had, and we can’t wait to come back! Our room was spotless, spacious, and well thought out, with plenty of storage and a wonderfully comfortable bed (with a pillow menu for extra choice). Bathrobes, slippers, and high-quality bathroom amenities were provided. The huge bathroom was a real highlight, separate loo with bidet, a walk-in shower, a bathtub with overhead shower, and double sinks. My only small gripe was that it was tricky to find a nearby plug for the kettle/coffee machine. The adult pool area was outstanding, spotlessly clean, plenty of loungers, and lots of shaded spots which were perfect for the very warm weather. We stayed half-board and were blown away by the buffet dinner, fresh, varied, and honestly the best we’ve had in a long time. Breakfast was equally fabulous, with something for everyone. The staff deserve a special mention: from reception to the restaurant, housekeeping to the lifeguards, every single person we met was warm, friendly, and genuinely helpful. An exceptional hotel that delivers on comfort, service, and food. Highly recommended!

We family of 3 just stayed in the resort for 3/4 nights in April. I think the hotel is undergoing lots of improvements and getting ready for the summer. Apart from that, we truly appreciate all the staffs in the hotel, including hotel receptionist, restaurant staffs and especially Raul who runs the kids club in the resort. He is friendly, patient and professional. Thank you for allowing guests to drop their little ones for couple hours everyday. ❤️ The golf course is very well maintained, the room we stayed is spacious, though a little old and some of the items don’t work too well ie hair dryer and walls are moldy etc. All in all, I think the hotel itself is great because all the staff who works in here are really nice and love those beautiful gardens. Take this hotel to ruin your vacation. - They sent us to to this hotel without any notice, gave us a small room. - The pool and green areas were very dirty. Not useable - They told us that the kids playground (indoor!) was closed because of the season (it was may!). When we played outside on the green grass they screamed at my child. - The pool was so cold and also dirty that we couldn’t swim. - Restaurant staff was kind but receptionists were really unprofessional talking about us in front of us thinking that we wouldn’t understand spanish. - The soundproofing of the rooms are aweful. Couldn’t sleep properly. We really felt like being ripped off. Very shocked as the reviews were good. Very unwelcoming hotel. Never again this chain.
