Bargara Blue Resort

This is a lovely place to stay. We stayed in a two bedroom apartment that was massive and had everything we needed. A great location too - 5 to 10 minute walk along the esplanade to shops and cafes.

We paid a hefty price for two nights in a three bedroom unit .. number 13, which wasn’t exactly beachfront as promised, more on the side view . We arrived at 4.15pm on a Friday and were greeted with a sign for how to check in after hours. There was no starter milk, the beds were made with sheets only in winter and we had to locate and then make up our beds with duvets . The place was dusty and poorly cleaned, hairs in the bathroom cupboards, stains on blankets and pillows. We rang the number provided in paperwork to request starter milk and give feedback, no answer after ringing twice, also texted twice over the three days we were there and still no reply. Really really disappointing. Also, at time of booking we asked if rate was discounted booking directly, I was assured we were getting discounted rate but booking.com was cheaper Would not stay again. When you can’t contact management at all over three days stay, it’s a bad sign! We would have dealt with this directly had we been able to speak with team in charge.

Very disappointed in the room, at first we were pleasantly surprised however on closer inspection the room was very dirty there were hairs in the spa and in the main bedroom, the spa jets when turned on shot out alot of grime, the oven needed a thorough clean. Overall the apartment needed to be deep cleaned. No instructions on how to use the dryer. Were advised to park in the ungrounded carpark but when in the lift up to the apartment realised we had to get the car out of the carpark by 7.30am as work was commencing and we wouldn't be able to get it out after that. Reception did not advise this when we checked in. The price we paid for the apartment was not great for the apartment we stayed in. I wouldn't return. When advising management of these issues was told of cleaning staff issue recently and couldn't be helped regarding the carpark issue as the roller door needed fixing. Zero acknowledgement of not advising prior to parking or any other issues.
