Bassotta Strand Blockhaus

Beautiful house with a great garden. 30 seconds from the lake. Very idyllic and super clean. We used the rowboat and really enjoyed it. Great pizzeria a 2-minute walk. We'd love to come back.

Guests of LA BREVA have highly recommended this residence because of its ideal location for swimming, surfing, canoeing, but also as a starting point for exploring Lake Como.

Danger! Regular, large-scale pesticide measures against mosquitoes/malaria! The holiday home La Basotta is located in an original swamp area in which the community carries out regular spraying measures against mosquitoes / malaria with the biological spray Biolarkim 14 (according to LABREVA). A substance that is said to be harmless to humans but which should not be inhaled for the first 2-3 hours after spraying (which is why the spraying takes place at night). Luckily we were warned by neighbors because the windows should definitely be closed and sleeping in a tent is not advisable. We were not warned by LABREVA and decided to leave the holiday home in the middle of the night because we did not want to expose ourselves and our children to any health risks and we did not have time to further clarify the spraying campaign with the community. LABREVA had no understanding for our concerns and cynically said that we should have clarified this ourselves in advance. We see it as an obligation for the owner to inform the tenants about health risks. Since LABREVA does not see it that way, we would like to draw attention to the issue so that future tenants can think in advance about whether they want to expose themselves to such spray agents or not. LABREVA's behavior was unacceptable to us.
