Bastión Luxury Hotel

Loved everything about our stay at Bastion! Service was on point: staff were kind, friendly, and quick to help with any request. Rooms were spacious, decorated with quality furniture, comfortable beds, and air was COLD! We were visiting with a large group with several staying at various other hotels. Our hotel was the only one with cold ac in the rooms:). Food was delicious with generous portions. The hotel common areas were stylish and rooftop pool was nice with lovely city views. We will definitely stay here next time we visit Cartagena!

An unforgettable experience from start to finish! From the moment we arrived, everything was absolutely perfect. Héctor and Hania were incredibly kind and helpful—always attentive and making us feel right at home. I also had a massage with Sandra, and it was hands down the best massage I’ve ever had—so professional and relaxing! The breakfast was delicious, the rooms were spotless, and the overall cleanliness and kindness of the entire staff truly stood out. We 100% recommend this place and can’t wait to come back next year. Room: Spacious rooms - standard twin, 2 double beds. Had a separate shower and toilet area. Lovely Colombian brand toiletries. Beds were firm. Some furniture looked worn out and had stains. AC worked great, however the built in AC unit had a light on in the ceiling to indicate it was on which made it almost too bright at night. WiFi Internet: worked great, no issues. Amenities: upper Deck pool area was great to lounge and have a drink and bite. Breakfast: a nice buffet spread. All kinds of juices, fruits. You can also a la carte as well. Service good. Front Desk/service: they do not keep the front door open at night for security reasons. Had friends coming back not knowing if there was a doorbell at night because it gets pretty dark along that street. Cleaning ladies/service guys were always pleasant. Generally a quiet area with only a few blocks to all the action - bars, restaurants, shopping. Wouldn't necessarily call this "luxury" hotel but rather a solid 4 star hotel.
