Batten Green Venue & Lodging

Perfect place for a quick and romantic getaway. Batten Green is the perfect location. You out and isolated while only being 5-10 minutes from Staunton. We stayed in a suite and it was perfect. The rooms are large, the bed was comfy and that tub, oh that tub! I wanted to take it with me. The hosts were not on site but very quick to respond to questions. We traveled with our doggy and it was so easy to walk right out the door and into the grass with her. We loved our stay here and are already planning a return . Only downside during our stay, and has nothing to do with the venue itself. The people staying upstairs had a child. The child ran around in the common area, jumped off the stairs, screamed, cried and banged around and we could hear every bit of it from downstairs in pur room. It was only for one day and rhe rest of our stay was magical and peaceful.

Very attractive country estate, conveniently not far off main highway. We stayed in the "Cottage" a one-level apartment attached to the main residence rental unit. This space is one large room incorporating living room and king dize bed and kitchen area. I could see the outdoor patios would be a lovely place to sit in warmer weather. While having the benefit of what they call a "full" kitchen, they do not have a full-size oven. A half-way measure, and better than nothing, is provided with a medium size toaster oven. Overall a very nice spot. Quiet with nice pastoral views of the large property.

Great location. Comfortable bed and peaceful. Would give 5 stars but a few small things beat up. Plumbing was loose at the tub but worked ok. Fridge wanted to spill out of the space when you open the door. There's nowhere to hang any clothes. I'd stay again though!
