Bawah Reserve Bawah Island

Had the most amazing time with my family on the most beautiful island surrounded by spectacular corals and marine life and most welcoming and thoughtful team at Bawah! Everything was well organized and smooth and we were extremely well looked after with their superb hospitality. From transport right from our doorstep at home, to taking the ferry then the seaplane, all the way to our accomodation in Bawah, someone from the team was with us the whole way and made sure we were comfortable and had everything we need. What stood out the most was how environmentally conscious the place was run, and how everyone on the team had the same priority which was to conserve and protect the environment and marine life whilst delivering impeccable and personable service and experience. From the way the accomodation was built, what it is made of, how they’re conscious to use locally made and natural/eco-friendly items. Not only was it a luxurious experience, it was also so respectful of the surroundings and nature, truly living up to their philosophy. There were lots to do but also not to do if you wish, to just unwind and relax in peaceful private surroundings. From snorkelling (or scuba diving if you’re keen), boat tours, hikes, daily spa/massages, slow afternoons soaking up the sun; catching the most beautiful sunrise and sunsets, witnessing marine life and beautiful coral reefs, theres so much that Bawah offers. The food and drinks and snacks there are also delicious and were always spoilt for choice and by the service provided. I can’t share about Bawah without a huge shoutout to their staff. Everyone is so friendly and hospitable, pays attention to the small details to make your stay as memorable as possible. They make you feel at home. I don’t normally give very thorough reviews but I genuinely want to share and commend how amazing of a time my family and I had. So grateful to witness the beauty of Bawah with my family and felt refreshed and inspired during my time there. I left Bawah with a newfound respect for nature, its beauty and its ability to heal with the right circumstances, and how each of us have a small but paramount role to play

Extremely private 5 star resort! We found this perfect paradise a few days before we arrived in June. Every day felt magical and choreographed in the best way! The team arranged every detail before we arrived, (including the spa treatments, transportation to the island and snorkeling charters) and left fresh juice and treats in our bungalow every day. Each staff member took time to greet us, ask questions and plan more activities for us. Our overwater bungalow, meals + our private picnic were perfect 💕

Bawah Reserve is next-level paradise. From the moment you arrive by seaplane, you know you’re in for something special. The resort is spread across a series of private islands, with lush jungle, turquoise lagoons, and overwater bungalows that look straight out of a movie. Our villa was unreal—beautifully designed with natural materials, ocean views from every corner, and total privacy. You wake up to the sound of waves and end the day with sunset cocktails on your deck. The experience is all about barefoot luxury. Days were spent kayaking between islands, snorkeling vibrant coral reefs (literally just steps from your villa), paddleboarding, and eating amazing meals with a focus on fresh, local ingredients. The staff made us feel like we were the only guests there—always helpful, never overbearing. There’s also a strong eco-conscious vibe, with solar power, no plastic policy.
