Bayerwaldhotel Hofbräuhaus

Nice hotel in a lovely location. Food and service were good and staff friendly. Only criticism was that the curtains were very thin and so I was woken up by early morning sunlight streaming into my room in the front of the hotel. Rooms at the rear probably didn't suffer from this problem.

It's a very nice hotel, the funiture in the rooms is a bit old school in my opinion but the rooms are clean and the view from the balconies is amazing. The people working at the hotel are most friendly and helpful.

After several customers complains I unfortunately have to write a less positive review about this hotel. While the hotel and the restaurant are good, some regulations at this hotel are outdated, inflexible and actually unacceptable nowadays: Guest are asked to provide personal data including mobile phone number before arrival and must tell the exact arrival time to avoid trouble on arrival. Even if there is nobody in the restaurant you must sit at your defined assigned table in the restaurant. Changing without prior approval will cause a harsh reaction. Customers repeatedly reported to feel uncomfortable after their stay at hotel Hofbräuhaus. Therefore we meanwhile recommend other alternatives in town.
