Beach Republic Koh Samui

Really nice spot, nice pool area and access to the beach. Only downside was it was quite far from everything and grabs are expensive so you’d definitely need to rent a bike. Rooms were clean large and spacious. They even had cooking facilities which was great. Nice balcony, not much of a view but super spacious. The staff were super nice and accommodating

My fiancé and I booked this place for a week and were excited about the pool facing the ocean and having a place with a kitchenette. The pictures are deceiving to say the least. The room was clean but far from the reception and much further from the pool and beach than we anticipated. There were cracks in the cabinets and tile floor. The seams around our door were huge letting the cold air out. The entire pool area looked like it had been hit by a hurricane and never fixed. The deal breaker was I hurt my lower back getting in the pool. The last step from the bottom of the pool was a solid 2.5-3ft down. I should’ve know from the rickety hand rail. Grateful for my fiancé handling it. We left and went to safer accommodations but had to pay a premium since it was a week long stay last minute. When he went into the office to tell them I had hurt my back getting in the pool, their first response was “no refund”. Talk about rude and unprofessional. 10/10 don’t recommend.

This place has seriously dilapidated from the photos. It is not as advertised. It appears there has been no upkeep of the property since many of the photos were taken. It almost feels as if it was hit with bad weather and never renovated. The door to our room had gaping holes, the pool area was in shambles, the garden bar was a cooler, many of the chairs were damaged, and no furniture on the beach. The was trash that was days old every where. The steps into the pool area also dangerous and the hand rail was coming loose. To rate this place 4 stars is a serious stretch.
