Beachside Resort Whitianga

I stayed in one of the “Deluxe Studios”. The website photos are accurate. I’m not sure why it is called a studio as the bedroom was separate to the living area. It was very nice - clean, roomy. I believe renovated in the last year. Full sized fridge in the kitchen. Comfortable couch. Good wifi. There were screen blinds over the windows in the living area for privacy but at night they were basically transparent. The living area could do with curtains. (The bedroom had excellent curtains.) Close to the beach, shops and wharf. Very convenient for seeing the rest of the Coromandel Peninsula. I would recommend staying there, and would definitely stay there again.

The room was very spacious and comfortable. Good size bathroom with a tub. Superb location, next to the beach and close to the town center. Has mini kitchenette, toaster, mini fridge, kettle, cutlery, complimentary teas. We enjoyed our stay.

My adult sister and I stayed here for a night . The heating was excellent, the room and bathroom were fine, the receptionist was lovely and helpful, location good, being just off the road from the beach, however, the beds need new mattresses. Main bed was lumpy, single bed was like sitting on.a block of wood - we had a look at the mattress and it even had a topper on it, sofa bed was also hard, leading to sore arms, legs, neck etc and a lot of tossing and turning. There weren’t any extra blankets anywhere, no blankets on the beds, just the covers, so had to keep the heater on for warmth.
