Beau Monde International

I have been Beau Monde a few times over the years. In 2016, it was a very different place to what it is today. It was luxurious and beautiful then. I returned years later to attend The Miss Universe Victoria pageant. The pageant was delicious and such a delightful thing to do. The dresses were divine, and the girls were so pretty and petite. However, the business had changed hands by then, and it was beginning to go downhill. I stayed one night to attend an early morning appointment, and the room I was given was dirty. I used a tissue to wipe mould from around the taps on the spa and to wipe dust from window ledges. Unfortunately, I will not return to Beau Monde again. They also took $239 as a security deposit, which takes approximately 10 days to get back. I rang my bank, and it is a standard move for them to waive the hold once they know there is no damage. They only helped me when I threatened contacting the ombudsman. Truly disappointing 😞.

Stayed for a night while on Honeymoon for a spot near the city. Definitely not worth it for the price ($175 we paid). Room was old and unclean, full of dust, cobwebs and foreign hairs which we hoped were the housekeeper's. Furniture quality and amenities were about what I'd expect from a $100 per night Highway Motel. Very disappointed with the pink mold lining the grouting and jets in the spa bath/shower as we were excited to use the spa. I do not recommend, desperately needs a BIG jump in quality and care, or a BIG drop in price.

Absolutely disgusting. I stayed at the BMI 30 years ago on my wedding night and I can assure you the carpets, paint, decor, everything has not been changed or renovated or maintained. The weeds and cracks in the exterior say it all, to be met my a foul old smell, then led to a room where all the lights didn’t work, we couldn’t change the tv channel no matter what we did, there was hair on the bathroom floor, the toilet was dirty and there was lumps of thick long black hair in the bed. We dared not complain because he took a $150 fee which he didn’t pay back for 1 week. Disgusting. May be cheap but it’s foul. Do not stay there!
