Clean rooms, clean bathroom. Budget friendly and a friendly host too! Has got the basic microwave, kettle, Cooktop, fridge and toiletries. 2 min walk from tram and bus stop. Great connectivity to the city. Quiet rooms. Will stay here again. :)
The location is great and the staff are fantastic, however the rooms leave much to be desired. The shower floods the bathroom and has no shelves or recess for putting your soaps. The bathroom has no exhaust, which means steam and toilet smell linger. The aircon/heating does not work well, and the rooms are obviously poorly insulated. Staying there in winter is like living in a fridge. Every morning there was an extreme amount of condensation dripping down the windows on the inside. The windows also did not feel like they closed/locked securely, and there was no fly screen, so it didn’t feel very safe or secure and there was a lot of cold air leaking in. Some of the linens in the room were also damaged/in need of replacement. There were cigarette burns in the curtains and holes in some of the blankets. On the upside, the kitchenette was well-equipped and the beds were otherwise very comfortable. The hotel is very well-located, with a tram stop and a bus stop just outside, a supermarket and chemist only a short walk away, and plenty of dining options in the area. Good for a low-budget trip however certain things about the rooms such as the flooding showers and leaky windows absolutely need to be fixed
I was a bit worried staying here. But took the risk....Room was musty/stinky and dated- nothing like the photos. The beds are hard and blankets dirty. No fly screen on the windows (we have young children, so very unsafe). Medication pills laying on the floors. Mismatched curtains (some block out, some not). The guy from reception stands at the front door smoking cigarettes and coughing which is a bit unprofessional. What we really enjoyed was the size of the rooms, the bathroom wasn't to bad, the parking was fantastic and good location for what we needed. Great for a low budget night or 2 stay.
