Nice hotel! Everyone is very professional, the rooms are clean and the bed is comfortable! They also allow pets. Chavi had a wonderful visit and she highly recommends others to come stay at Hotel Becquer.
Let me de-influence you from staying here; How this is a 4 star hotel is beyond me. I am certain most of these reviews were bought, there's no way. It registered as barely a 3 star hotel in my perspective, and that's being generous The place looks pretty nice and clean at first, however, it's not managed well. When we got into the room there was no soap in the shower, they only gave us one coffee pod for the machine, we wanted to call reception but the phone was not even plugged into the wall, nor was there a cord. It was essentially a decoration. when we went down and asked the front desk for more coffee they said "that's room service we can't do anything".. (I'm not sure how I was supposed to contact room service, I didn't have a phone) They did bring soap though, so that's a bare minimum, I guess. The room requires a key for electricity which also includes the mini fridge, so if you have any food it will spoil when you're out. On top of that they offer "free breakfast" and then will try to charge you after you eat. The breakfast is terrible and the coffee tastes like burnt rubber. When you ask staff about these things they are condescending and patronizing. As if these things are normal I'l skip this hotel and go somewhere else when I come back to Guadalajara.
Dear Hotel Becquer Management, I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with my recent experience at your hotel in Guadalajara. My family and I arrived on November 20, 2024, at approximately 11:45 PM after a long flight, expecting a comfortable and clean place to rest. Unfortunately, the conditions of the room we were assigned were far from acceptable. Upon entering the room, we were immediately dismayed by the following issues: - Stains and small debris on the white cover sheets - Food crumbs scattered on the floor - Multiple strands of hair both on the floor and inside the refrigerator - A dirty refrigerator - Liquid stains on the floor Given the unsanitary state of the room, we requested either a different room or for the current room to be cleaned. However, the evening attendant or manager informed us that no rooms were available and that the cleaning staff was off-duty. As a result, at 12:20 AM, my family (which includes my wife and two young children, aged 10 and 3) had no choice but to leave the hotel and seek accommodations elsewhere. To date, eight days later, I have yet to receive a refund for the room or any communication from the management to apologize or address this situation. Even Travelocity, whom I contacted for assistance, has been unable to get in touch with your team despite multiple attempts. This lack of follow-up is extremely disappointing and concerning. The absence of proper customer service, particularly in light of the substandard room conditions, has left a very negative impression of your hotel. Given this experience, I will unfortunately be unable to recommend Hotel Becquer to others. I hope you will take the necessary steps to rectify this issue and restore trust in your establishment. I look forward to your prompt response and resolution.
