Bedford Hotel

Stayed for five nights in a single room. Southampton Row is quite touristy, but the surrounding area is lovely for walking with many nearby parks. I didn't eat at the hotel as there are many options including a small supermarket within a five minute walk. The room was basic but clean and comfortable and I thought it was great value for the price. I appreciated the small touches of A bottle of sparkling water and cookies in the room. Plenty of outlets in the room and USB ports next to the bed as well as a reading light. The windows open and let in lots of light. Although it was July and no AC, the fan was enough for my preference at night. I only wish there was a mini fridge, but there's not a lot of extra space in the room. I was on the third floor and had to close the windows a few times due to noise from the generator. it wasn't too bad but I could see it being an issue in other rooms. didn't have a ton of interactions with the staff but when I did they were all friendly. I was able to store my bags for a few hours on checkout day at no cost.

Staff is really helpful and friendly. Location is great, walking distance to attractions and nice dining . Hotel is bit outdated but clean, calm and secure. Restaurant area is pleasant, just stopped for drinks. It was a hot weekend for London standards and Hotel is not prepared, rooms are too hot, no AC and poor ventilation, windows are blocked to not open fully (security to avoid falls or jumps), so it was hot in the room. Besides i still think it was worth.

Came for a one night stay to visit the theatre. Hotel very convenient for Euston and also to walk to the British Museum. Twin room was a good size, ours was on the front so did get noisy. A Sunday night so mostly traffic. No a/c but a fan, so that added to the noise. Staff very friendly and good selection at the buffet breakfast. Added bonus that you could leave luggage. Would use again but ask for a rear room!
