I stayed here twice as a transit passenger with Air China as I had long layovers at Beijing Capital airport . The shuttle pickup from the airport was very efficient with the concierge coming to pick me up. The reception staff was fast and efficient. At nighttime the hotel restaurants were empty and there are no nearby restaurants within walking distance, but in the morning there's a vast buffet restaurant. The rooms were large and well kitted out.

Ok where do I start I ended up here as we missed our flight (not our fault) the hotel is just massive I have never stayed in a hotel of that size it’s beyond words. It’s near to the airport that’s a bonus approx 15-20 mins it’s in an area that’s very quiet no shops or restaurants so if I wanted to go into the city or go for a wander forget it you need a car. For me I was amazed as I had never been to China and it was only for one day and night. the service from the staff was 10/10 I dined at the restaurant in the evening there was only us eating and I left it to the staff to recommend different food for us all as we were a party of 6 , oh my god what a feast!!! Food 10/10 not like the rubbish Chinese food you get in the Uk!!! It was excellent so forgive me but I have no idea what the other two posts I read are on about. As for wine well I’m not a big drinker but if you expect wine like they have in France or Germany then fair enough, but we’re in China and somethings unfortunately like in this case they may not have. As for mini bar try asking them to unlock it I’m sure there would be no problem your paying, remember this is China different strokes for different blokes. Breakfast was ridiculous they had everything you could want , ok there will always be some smart comment no haggis or black pudding come on!!!! 10/10 for breakfast let’s get real. As for rooms ok they are not like the marina bay sands in Singapore but they are not £650 a night, again let’s be fair there clean and more than adequate jeeeez people what do you want your only getting your head down there more than satisfactory. Overall I would highly recommend this place for a few days not a week for me, if I had been stuck there for three days I would have been satisfied. it all depends what you want. If I had one thing that I could complain about is the staff didn't speak English well enough but hey I’m in China so why don’t I speak Chinese so who’s fault is that, mine!!!! When we review a hotel we have to be mindful. Thank you to all the staff and the Chinese people for making me and my family very very welcome.

The location is very useful for proximity to the airport if you have an early flight. The Chinese food was great (not sure why the previous reviewer ordered a burger, eat the Chinese food, they know how to cook it!). The wine was over priced and naff, I should have gone for a g&t. The indoor pool could do with a little work, but was a great length for a workout. The rooms were huge, but not cosy as a result. My colleagues hairdryer exploded in her hand. The fish tank is the highlight. I could have stared at it for hours.
