This place is a great spot to stay between zones 3 and 4. The building is a bit old, but the staff is super friendly. The breakfast is complimentary located at the second floor

As a Titanium Elite member, I was disappointed with the room upgrade. Despite checking in twice, the upgrade offered was minimal and did not reflect the level of recognition Marriott usually provides to its elite members. This hotel is situated near the Sanlitun area, which is a convenient location. However, even though it is a convenient location it is not near the train station. However, the property itself feels outdated and in need of refurbishment. Basic modern amenities such as USB charging ports are not available, which is quite disappointing for today’s travelers. The check-in experience was unpleasant. A staff member named Cynthia handled our arrival, and unfortunately, she spoke extremely fast in Chinese, making it difficult for anyone to understand. Despite politely asking her to slow down multiple times, she continued in the same manner and responded with a visibly annoyed attitude, as if we were the problem. She refused to call a manager or another staff member when requested and failed to clearly explain any of the benefits or amenities, such as lounge access or breakfast hours.. until we repeatedly asked. The situation was addressed the following morning by the manager, Diana, who offered a thorough explanation and a sincere apology. While her response was appreciated, it was clear that the staff member we encountered at check-in was not suited for a front desk role. On a more positive note, the breakfast selection was quite good and the staff in the restaurant were courteous and professional. Given the poor service during check-in and the lack of appreciation for loyalty members, I would not choose this hotel again. There are many better Marriott options in Beijing, such as the St. Regis, both JW Marriotts, and the Renaissance, all of which have provided much better experiences.

Being a Marriott Vacation Club member and Marriott Bonvoy Member, this is the worst Marriott Hotel I had stayed thus far. Not only is the hotel dated, the furniture is also worn out and the room i stayed in the toilet door will detach sooner or later. The hotel staff is also not as welcoming as other Marriott hotel I had stayed before and because it is currently cold in Beijing, they on heater instead of air-con and my room is hot and humid. Even with the window open, it only helps a little and when I request for a air-cooler, the person that deliver the air-cooler didn't seem happy about it. Will definitely not stay at this hotel again.
