Best hotel to stay in Salamanca. Hotel staff is very helpful. Breakfast is the best. They provide best shuttle service if you want to visit near by. Restaurant is very good and there chef prepared Indian curries when we shown him YouTube video.
Service was great hotel rooms are very nice but I would say they need more work on the AC. The rooms did not cool enough especially during the hottest times in Summer. I hope they are able to fix this problem because if they do, I would definitely come back during summertime. Hotel restaurant food was delicious and the customer service was superb.
this past visit was my 3rd time staying at this holiday inn for work. after 5 years, nothing really has changed much, the facility is still pretty well-kept, but i am starting to see a lot of newer hotel properties sprouting around town so they're going to have to step it up soon. biggest complaint for most people is the train track that runs right behind the hotel... since the intersections in town don't have crossing signals, the train literally will blast the horn coming into and out of town, even during curfew hours. so if you're a light sleeper, best get a room on the street facing side. i got assigned to a double room this time, which wasn't as spacious and nice as the last room i got which had a single bed. salamanca has gotten very unsafe over the years but the hotel property felt really safe / secure. not that there are armed guards stationed or anything, but the entrances to the property all seem pretty secure, and room key is required for elevator access... but the stairs tho... another story. free for all. overall clean, linens fresh, no plumbing or ac issues for me, thank god, but one of the elevators stopped working during our trip and it never got fixed before we left, so 1 elevator alone for the property was quite painful since the elevators are so small. love that a pretty comprehensive breakfast buffet is included, but the good is decent if you stick to the mexican food and forgo the japanese options.
