We had an amazing stay at Belcasa Family Suites and Lofts - I thoroughly recommend it. It’s beautifully and tastefully decorated, with plenty of space. The staff was friendly and helpful, the apartment was super clean and the kitchen has all the utensils you might need to cook your own meals. The location was perfect for us - slightly away from the main town and the crowds (5-10min walk) which is important if you want to avoid any COVID-19 infection. And the beautiful and spacious beach was only 100m away. We loved this place so much and would love to come again!
Absolute incompetence!! We arrived late approximately 12:30 at night, after driving for 4.5 hours straight. They sent an email with gibberish French instructions with Dutch words on how to receive the key. We went to the hotel location, opened the safe.....no keys!!!!! ...Midnight ...cold ...foreign country ...crying kids ...no place to stay ...nobody answering any calls... You can imagine!! ...Had to call another hotel at 1am to find a room... Next day they explained that the key was in absolutely different building 2.5 kilometers away; address was not clearly written anywhere, no detailed explanations, zip, zilch, nada. It's a freaking disaster!!! These people are so amazingly incompetent, no apologies, no solutions were ever offered. No sympathy, no understanding. Zero customer service skills. They shouldn't be in a hotel business. Still we have not received our refund from them. UPDATE: Next day we nicely asked owner lady to refund, and instead of complying and apologizing, she called us liars, and went straight up to offence, asking these questions: She asked if our French language skill is so bad, so we can't read emails? (No, French is not a problem) Asked why we called her employees and said nothing at night? (No, we did not reach anyone at night, except answering machine in Dutch) Asked why we did not come to address in the email? (Email was in gibberish French. All we understood was the code combination for the safe) Finally she said she will check email during one (!!!) week and if she 'feels' that we are correct, she might refund us money, that she will deduct from her employees paycheck!!! ...And HANG UP on me!!! TWICE!! Feels like one bad dream, where EU customer protection laws are not working any longer and crooked businesses can steal your money.
Very rude and ignorant owner lady. Called me a liar, refused to refund for the stay that never happened. We had to search for another hotel at night, because this property owner was not professional enough to provide clear instructions for late check-in. They keep keys from one property at a completely different location, but pass code and safe access codes are all the same. Instuctions written in an incomprehensible French. Very bad experience with these properties. Avoid this place. Dishonest and rude, completely unprofessional. Now have to file a complain just to receive my money back. Search elsewhere for a better accomodations.
