Bella Pais

All the five stars are dedicated to the staff! Reception, restaurant staff and cleaning were all so great. They were all very kind and interactive with my little 1-year old daughter Luna, so we appreciated this a lot. The hotel facilities are very good, pleasant restaurant, nice pool area. The fitness room though - a tragedy. I'm sure the management would want to have 'fitness' checked out amongst the facilities but to call those facilities a gym would be a strong overstatement. They have six 5-kg weights and two machines out of order. Then a ping pong table and that's it. The hotel has a manager - a grew haired man in his 60's I'd guess - who dragged down the overall rating a lot. He seems quite sour all the time, not interacting with his guests and always picking on his staff. I would guess the last management book he read was from the 1980's because the level of micro management was way over the top. I know something about how to manage people and how not to. And the way he conducted this with his own people was very simply embarrassing to look at. I would not want to work for him myself but maybe Greece is a little outdated when it comes to people management, I don't know. We enjoyed the fantastic staff and our stay a lot though. Thank you:-)

Sweet and very helpful staff. They go all out for you to have a great stay. Close to the beach, but in start June a very sleepy town. The poolbar closes at 22.30 in the evening, so very early. We had all inclusive, for us a waste of money. It was nice for the wine, soda and snacks provided during the day. Breakfast was ok. Lunch and dinner we only used once. It was bland, very boring and not very appealing. We ate out the full two weeks. Same playlist in the poolbar running over and over, including a Christmas song for the first 24 hours.

Our stay at Bella Pais Hotel was a complete disaster. First of all, they take zero responsibility for guest belongings. Someone damaged my brother’s Louis Vuitton bag, and it was obvious that someone had been through his things, completely violating his privacy. When we brought it up, the staff just shrugged it off as if it wasn’t their problem. The food was disgusting. Poor quality, badly cooked, and the staff clearly had no sense of hygiene. Honestly, we avoided eating there as much as possible. Some of the rooms might look decent, but don’t be fooled. Most are awful, outdated, and dirty. And the pictures online? Heavily edited and completely misleading. I have no idea how this place got 3 stars – it honestly deserves minus 3. Save yourself the disappointment and stay far away from Bella Pais Hotel.
