Bella Vista Hotel

Very nice and friendly staff. The room and the pool was very clean. Also everyone in the restaurant is very polite and the food is good :) Other than that, there is live music and also you can watch a football match live on the lobby next to the bar. Near the hotel you can get a bus and go directly to different places like Valletta, the Port etc

I have to say I was worried about staying at this hotel after reading the reviews! From the moment we entered the hotel our stay was fabulous! It is fair to say it is not a luxury hotel and the rooms are slightly dated however the staff are amazing, the hotel was lovely and clean, the food was good. Our room was cleaned every day and the restaurant staff always friendly and helpful particularly Robyn and Picarmbar who was always smiling so proud of his work a credit to the owner. The hotel was value for money for the cost we paid and we would definitely stay here again. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay 🤗

I was about to give 2.5-3 stars for this hotel but, thanks to the very bad attitude at the end when I was checking out. It was 4 in the morning which I barely woke up and had to rush to the airport as my flight is departing in 2 hours. Of course, I was in panic mode and I was not thinking too well while I was still tired. As I rushed downstairs to check out, I told them that I forgot my key card on the table upstairs. What’s worse was that I also forgot my luggage in my room which I was compelled to retrieve it before leaving the building. The male Indian receptionist gave me an attitude and said, “How can you forgot your luggage? Oh my gosh! With this key card, please bring it back here and place it on top of my desk”. No way did he say that to me. I really hope he was joking but, I still think it was very unacceptable of him to snap at me like that. We are all human and we make mistakes which he should be more understanding of my situation of rushing to the airport. I totally understand that it is 4 a.m., and I did not mean to disrupt his sleep. Well, this hotel advertises that they have a 24-hour reception desk, so why would someone like him sleep behind a wall in a blanket during their shift? I am very surprised that only 5 of the 2,000+ reviews complained about the attitude of the staff. Overall, I don’t find that most of the staff are that friendly except for the people that work at the restaurant and housekeeping department. To finish off, the hotel was not too bad at all. Throughout my stay, I have always been bitten by bedbugs and mosquitoes daily. My legs were so red and covered with many blisters and rashes from the painful itching. Also, the water in the shower is not that clean. Every time when I bathe, the water smelled like chlorine.
