The hotel is quite old and due for renovation. The room was clean and comfortable. The water from the faucet is not drinkable - it reeks chlorine and tastes awful. The included breakfast was ok, and the staff were nice. The best thing is that this hotel is pet friendly.
This hotel is like a Greek tragedy. I made an accidental booking for 2026 on a non refundable rate. I then quickly booked a 2025 room for the EXACT same days and informed the hotel of my honest mistake. I also informed booking. And we were both told that unfortunately we were out of luck, that the booking would not be refunded. Now, I realise it's my own fault, but this complete lack of flexibility, common sense and logic ruined everything else with our experience. Such a shame too, this could have been a 4 or 5 star review otherwise, but through stubbornness and a lack of empathy and flexibility. It's a 1. I would avoid this place until the management stop acting so childishly. The breakfast is great and the rooms are great.
When Your Car Gets Robbed & the Hotel Doesn’t Care Our car was vandalized right outside the hotel—both side mirrors were stolen overnight. We had to involve the police, and the hotel offered zero assistance and made it clear they don’t take any responsibility. To make things worse, we met another couple who experienced the exact same theft just one night earlier at the same location. Clearly, this is a recurring issue, and the hotel is doing nothing to protect its guests or their property. Because of this, we’re now stuck in Riga until we can get new mirrors installed—our vacation is basically ruined. Extremely disappointing and completely unacceptable.
