Amazing location with a view from the movies. Immensely clean and comfortable. Not just that, super accessible with clear pathways to the town centre and nearby train station. And to add the cherry on top, the staff were super accommodating and helpful with recommendations for food and sightseeing. Thank you so much and we will be back again for sure!
Came here for the last leg of our honeymoon and it was an amazing end to our trip! We stayed in the Bellevue Suite and enjoyed the private entrance and terrace with beautiful views of the sea and Levanto itself. We also thoroughly enjoyed the in-suite washer and hanging our clothes to dry on the terrace. Uta was very helpful and sweet. Would recommend booking here!
We stayed in the Amber, the smallest of the rooms, for a price that felt too good to be true for the area. (If you have been to Levanto or any of the five Cinque Terre villages, you know that in recent years the price of rooms here has risen significantly.) Spoiler: It wasn’t too good to be true. It was an amazing deal for the price. The Bellevue is a hidden gem in one of the most beautiful areas of Italy, and I recommend it highly. Our room was beautifully furnished and sized to meet expectations for comparable accommodations in this area of Italy (and at a lower price than expected). An important note: We were here during a time of record-high heat, and the room’s air conditioning unit kept up with the demands beautifully. The information on the website matched what we found in the room precisely: the square meterage was accurate, the mini-bar held small beverages and even a bottle of wine; the Nespresso coffee maker worked perfectly and was accompanied by plenty of sugar and creamer if desired; the WiFi was strong and reliable; the hair dryer was full-sized (not travel-sized); and, an amply sized wardrobe gave us plenty of shelving and hangers for our clothes. In addition, the shared terrace was a beautiful touch, and we enjoyed it every single evening. The Bellevue staff also offers to recommend and book activities in the area, a concierge-style service that is a nice perk. We took advantage of this and enjoyed some spectacular meals in the local restaurants that matched our dietary preferences and budget perfectly. A note to the (very) few one-, two-, and three-star reviewers here: Did you not read the website information carefully or bother to do any research about the area before arriving? The website clearly says, “mini-bar,” not refrigerator. The square meterage of each room is provided accurately. Those rooms without private terraces clearly say “shared terrace.” The hallway’s width is appropriate for the historic nature of the building, and if your suitcase won’t fit through it, you are using a suitcase that’s wider than what’s acceptable on nearly all airlines, which is difficult to believe. The area is “too hilly” for you, with too many steps? How on earth is this the fault of Bellevue?!? It’s like blaming a ski resort for having too much snow. The partner hotel is “too far of a walk”? It sounds like you don’t want to walk anywhere, which also sounds to me like you really shouldn’t be anywhere in the Cinque Terre or any of the Ligurian coast villages. A simple Google street view will reveal the nature of this beautiful area of Italy and make it pretty clear that there will be hills to climb and steps to ascend. Complaining about this is like complaining about too much “Mickey Mouse” presence at Disney World. Insane. And for the reviewer who said the room is like a “seller” (I assume the writer meant “cellar”)…. oh, please! Even the smallest room, which we had, has a nice-sized window that opened to a gorgeous, incomparable view visible from all parts of the room, even while lying in bed. Your complaint sounds like a flat-out fabrication. For those of you reading this review, I would recommend taking advantage of this hidden gem before it’s discovered by everyone, and reservations are nearly impossible. You won’t find anything better in this area at this price.
