Belvedere Budapest Hotel

Second time at this hotel this year. The Hotel Belvedere is well positioned in the city and for the price we think it is excellent value. Standard rooms are comfortable clean with nice bathroom and may have a balcony. A great bonus is that there is a pool and sauna on the top floor. We found at breakfast there is something for everyone and the garden room and restaurant used for breakfast is nice and relaxing. Staff are very friendly and accommodating from the front of desk right through to the friendly ladies on maid service. Some people expect too much from what is rated as a 4 star hotel and must take into account what they are actually having to pay. Over all I would recommend the Belvedere as excellent value for money.

Hotel room is lovely. Lovely view. Breakfast is a little mediocre but otherwise fine. Windows now as soundproof as lead to believe but noise isn't too bad as on the quiet side of the river. The wellness centre/spa is lovely and I could spend all day in the current pool, overlooking a gorgeous view of Budapest.

It was a nice hotel and once we got our bearings, decided it was good in location for nearby shops and public transport. We enjoyed a well stocked buffet breakfast, but didn't book for dinner, only because we were out most of the time. I think it could do with some money spent on it now to improve its appearance but as it's probably used as a base for many tourists, you are not looking for much in the way of comfortable lounges or bedrooms. We enjoyed our time there.
