Before arriving I read several if the reviews and was a little anxious as to whether I had made a good choice. My fears were ungrounded, staff are friendly and helpful. Buffet style breakfast with good choice, I used the restaurant for an evening meal with no complaints, room clean, bed comfortable and tv in several languages. I did not use the facilities in the well being centre so unable to comment. Would most definitely return.
Not sure what made this hotel 4 stars exactly. Our 'double' room was two single beds mishmashed together, not that we were informed. The front desk had poor customer service and would leave you waiting when there was zero queue without so much as a word. The breakfast. Well, I was hard pressed to find a piece of fruit which didn't taste like it was going off. Stayed in better budget hotels. Miles better.
The hotel itself is fairly clean with good amenities like the sauna, steam room, pool etc. There was a nice selection for breakfast. Overall, the hotel was reasonable. However, after travelling for over 24hrs, I found that the check in took far too long. What also marred the experience, was on our final day we (a couple) asked for a later check out (as we were there for a tournament and needed to shower before departing), and the man at the front desk was very adamant that there was no late check out and that we needed to be out of the room by 12. He was curt and a bit rude to be honest. We checked out promptly at 12. However, much to our disbelief, as we were awaiting our shuttle in the lobby, other tournament guests were checking out closer to 1 and he appeared to have no problem with this. I just found this disparity to be highly disappointing, and wonder why we not afforded the same courtesies as the other tournament guests. Very disappointing end to what was a reasonably good stay.
