The room was excellent, and the hotel maintained exceptional cleanliness. The front office bell boy, Mr. Prasanth, played a significant role in welcoming and assisting guests upon arrival. His duty performance was truly remarkable. The morning breakfast and dinner dishes were outstanding and closely matched the cuisine from my country. I heartily congratulate the hotel on its superb hospitality.
We stayed at the hotel for 3 nights and have had quite average service we also had our wedding reception here. However one particular staff member has gone above and beyond to make our experience exceptional house keeping staff Ranidu was extremely humble and good at what he does !! More room to improve as a renowned hotel !
Disappointing and Unhealthy Stay at Berjaya Hotel My Family stayed at Berjaya Hotel and our experience was deeply disappointing. The room felt decades old, with worn-out furniture, creaky doors, and a dilapidated atmosphere. The air conditioning was poorly positioned, cooling the dining table instead of the bed, leaving us uncomfortably warm. The TV was faulty with broken wires; room service attempted a fix, but it broke again, and subsequent requests for repair were ignored. Room service was consistently unreliable. Despite our full-board package, basic requests like two water bottles were never fulfilled. There was no spoon provided for making tea; when I requested one from housekeeping, no one came, forcing me to go downstairs myself to fetch a teaspoon. The bathroom lacked basic amenities like toothbrushes and toothpaste, and was unclean with visible moss and grime, which was off-putting. Most concerning, both my wife and I suffered from diarrhea after the second day, raising serious concerns about the food hygiene or water quality. The food was below average, offering minimal variety—basic local dishes like fried rice and wade, which we could’ve gotten at a local eatery for far less. The swimming pool was in disrepair, open only from 8 AM to 6 PM with no evening access. While the staff were polite and asked for a review, their promises of addressing issues, often seen in their Google Reviews responses, feel like empty gestures based on our experience. We considered checking out early, even fabricating an excuse but stayed as we had paid in full. This was our first and, due to this unacceptable experience, our last stay at Berjaya Hotel. I DO NOT recommend it without significant improvements to facilities, service, and hygiene standards. Rating: 1/5
