Bernardazzi Grand Hotel & SPA

The hotel is located somewhat away from the centre, which I rather welcomed, as it was not so busy. The staff were pleasant and professional throughout our stay. The apartment was clean, the equipment was fine, although in places a little wear and tear was already visible (shower, chair back). I missed a bit the big light in the bedroom, where there was also a desk to work on, as it was quite dark to work in the evening with the existing lighting. I cannot rate the SPA, I was not. It is not free to use, it is only for a fee (about 1400 MDL for one or two people). Breakfasts were good, tasty and plentiful. Lots of salads, fish, cheese, eggs, cold cuts, fruit, sweet breakfasts... I can't complain.

They cancelled my reservation an hour before my flight, which caused unnecessary stress. Although they offered to relocate me to another hotel near the City Mall, it was at least a 30-minute walk from the city centre, so, I rejected their offer. I would advise exercising caution before booking at this hotel, as the experience left a poor impression and I do not intend to return in the future.

I wouldn't stay there again. We had a last minute flight cancellation and arrived a day late, there was no willingness from the hotel to help us cancel the booking even though we stayed there 2 more nights. I understand I had to go through Expedia but in the end of the day it was a hotel who had the power to provide a solution which they didn't. They didn't even allow us to move breakfast which was prepaid for the first night. And to use the pool and spa area you have to pay additionally and it isn't included for hotel guests. Definitely not worth €80 a night.
