BessaHotel Baixa

The best hotel we have ever stayed in! Everything about the BessaHotel Baixa is pure luxury. The rooms are so comfortable and a treat to stay in, the pool facilities we lovely, but best of all were the staff. Everyone was so welcoming and went above and beyond. Every meal was of the finest quality and delicious, dietary needs were accommodated for. The restaurant staff were so friendly, it really felt like a home away from home. Our kids are already begging to come back!

If you are looking for one of the best hotels in Porto, then look no further! BessaHotel Baixa was the absolute best, from location, concierge service, cleanliness, amenities, pool and lobby area. I would not stay anywhere else on my next visit to Porto! The general manager(Pedro), I cannot talk about enough because he was so kind and accommodating!! He is the sweetest person! When we arrived, the electricity was down in all of Portugal……..Pedro made sure all the guests were happy and comfortable! We tried finding somewhere to eat but due to the electricity outage all restaurants we closed or had extremely limited options. We were told at the hotel that dinner reservations were already filled upon our arrival, but Pedro accommodated us and made sure we were able to get something to eat after a long day of travel! Thank you Pedro! 🤗

A bit conflicted with this review. The hotel is beautiful decorated but someone impractical. Very dark corridors, sharp edges on the dining room chairs, extremely slippery tiles in the pool area and also the showers. The room was lovely - bed super comfy. The mini fridge was useless - didn’t cool things very much at all and we used to have to ask for cups of ice from the bar. The location wasn’t great as it’s up a hill and most attractions are down the bottom. The staff were lovely and very helpful. The breakfast that was included with our Tarif was great.
