Best Western Grand Hotel Guinigi

This hotel wasn't my all time favorite. The hallways were hot. The rooms were OK temp wise (April) but I wish the windows had screens and functioned a bit different. It had to be wide open or all the way shut. Electricity for heating and air-conditioning is regulated, so if your comfort level is above or below "normal standard" you might struggle a bit at this location. Staff were very nice and answered all our questions. Check in was easy.

I was disappointed. The room was not level of 4*. Very simple, old and very cold. When I come to the room the heating was not working so I went to reception and they switched the heating on. Unfortunately even with heating was the room very cold (I’m used to have 21°C at home but here was not more than 19). Heating in the bathroom was just hanger for towels. Didn’t work. The 3rd day when I came in the evening, tired from business meetings, I realised the heating is off again and the room is super cold. And I needed to go to reception to ask for switch on the heating. For breakfast was almost no vegetables. Only not washed tomatotes so I had to clear the stains on them by the napkins. Also hotel is very gas away from the city centre. More than 30 min by fast walk.

This hotel is clearly not 4 star has a lousy gym with antiquated equipment no availability of coffee restaurant or bar during normal hours if not 24/7. The kettle cannot be plugged in the location provided. There is no blanket covering sheets. It does not compare to other Best Western. Safe deposit box was broken. No lotion provided for guests.
