Best Western Harmony Inn Fort Dodge Iowa

This is THE place to stay if you have plans to stay or just stop in Fort Dodge. We have stayed at this hotel for the last 5 years for our annual summer trip to visit family for 2 weeks. The new owners took over in 2024 and have made lots and lots of upgrades. Rooms are all remodeled. New carpet and flooring , fridges and microwaves, big TV’s etc. Henri and Monica are excellent hosts and are always willing to help out. Great hot breakfast every morning. Always fresh hot coffee available 24/7. Afternoon cookies. Ignore all the reviews prior to 2024. This is definitely not that place any more. You will be very pleased and well taken care of.

Wow I was Leary about staying at a $99 hotel but after driving in wind and rain for hours we needed to find a place that would accept dogs. Several hotels in this area do not accept pets at all. Harry greeted me with a warm smile and was a nice face to see after a long day. The hotel is very clean and it is obvious the management and owners care about the property. Inside and out was in pristine condition. Breakfast, while still a hotel one, was better than most that we have encountered on this long trip. We didn't use the pool but it looked great. Definitely choose this place if you are in the area.

At first we thought the owners were friendly and kind. The second day there we left the room and returned 2 hrs later and noticed several items were missing. Security cameras show cleaners were there only ones in our room during that time. We met them in the hallway when we came back to room. In that 2 hr window my ear buds, brand new lulu bag and a ring were stolen. All of which were in 3 different bags. Nothing was left out. Do not stay here! When confronted the owners refused to do anything about it. Nothing!!!
