The Best Western Hotel Cavalieri della Corona is a primarily aviation and airline crew hotel catering to a broad number of national airline carriers that use the Milano Malpensa Airport about 15 minutes drive from the hotel. The hotel has an attractive bar area, a reasonable Crew lounge and a nicely presented restaurant and other facilities. A shuttle service to the airport operates every 30 minutes and the staff are generally pleasant and accommodating. We found the ladies, Claudia #1 and Claudia # 2 to be outstanding as well as Fede and Benny who were helpful and supportive. There is ample safe and free parking behind the hotel about 100m walk away or paid parking at a very reasonable rate inside the hotel (underground). The supervisor in the restaurant Mahmoud and the two drivers Md Khairul Kabir Bhuiyan and an elderly Italian gentleman were outstanding in their friendliness, courtesy and driving – well done!! The nightshift AC/Handyman workers and duty manager “M” were not as helpful and certainly not as courteous or polite. Perception changed our intentions to lodge formal complaints due to the challenges faced with the air conditioning on the 4th floor because the reception ladies quickly responded with corrective actions, courtesy, empathy and politeness that made up for the discomfort – well done and thank you reception ladies.
The hotel is good, but no so much kid friendly. It is Next to the airport. The kids were dissipated from the pool. Breakfast was good
Great Location, But Room Conditions Fell Short The location near the airport is very convenient, and check-in was smooth. Unfortunately, our room had a strong musty odor, a broken window that couldn’t be opened, and an old A/C unit that made things worse. The furnishings were also quite dated. We decided to check out and drive through the night instead. When we did, the front desk staff didn’t offer another room or apologize for the inconvenience. With better maintenance and guest service, this hotel could be much improved.
