Best Western Hotel des Orangers

We had a great stay. Rosa at the reception desk was incredibly friendly and kind. Our French isn’t great, but she had no trouble communicating with us in Spanish, which made everything so much easier! The room was clean, the bed very comfortable, and the breakfast was delicious and complete.

A nice hotel with an excellent location. We were visiting some friends and found this hotel close to them with free parking! WARNING! The free parking is bogus there are VERY few parkings on the street and parking is a problem in Cannes. With the central location it is only a mall walk over a bridge and you are in the old center. We didn’t select the hotel on the basis of the pool but it was a nice bonus! There are too few sun beds so you have to be early to snatch one. As always some towels seems to be avid sunbathers and should be collected by the hotel to let the few sun beds be in active usage instead of claimed for future usage! All in all a good hotel for a stay in Cannes!

BW advertises FREE PARKING which is misleading. Upon arrival, the reception told me there's NO HOTEL PARKING, period. Ah, it's free if you can find street parking -- good luck in the summer season. The A/C worked well and kept the room cold. Unfortunately, it was impossible to turn it off at night - it kept blowing cold air directly onto the bed. And the room was really tiny, impossible to open a suitcase on the floor without blocking the bathroom door. The reception told me the room had a CITY VIEW which was not true. Actually, it's a view of a dilapidated apartment building that completely blocks everything else. The only redeeming qualities of the hotel were very good breakfast plus the bathroom and shower.
