Best Western Hotel Nazionale

On first sight I liked this very modern hotel on the edge of the pedestrian area thinking it would be quiet. Bedrooms are roomy with nice bathrooms but very small shower! Room was very hot and fan didn’t work so opened window. Could hear virtually every word spoken in the street below as the sound was amplified until late on! They Have a parking service but you have to walk from the road along the pedestrian area to the hotel. They do provide a porter service. Breakfast on top floor was good but didn’t see any sign of a rooftop bar! Wellness area was very expensive so didn’t bother. The attached restaurant is very good and there is a nice bar outside for apperitivi.

Heat/AC did not work in our room, electricity in our room cut out frequently shutting down the lighting? Breakfasts were great. Room was very tight, not much room to move around, no chair to sit in, closet is tiny, bathroom was good. Rooms were kept clean, fresh towels provided daily.

In room 616 you will not sleep a single hour per night. There was a nagging super loud noise in room that prevented sleeping, maybe related to pipes, heating, fridge or whatever. Staff wouldn’t help us either and reacted rather unfriendly when we confronted them the night after. We left the hotel and won’t come back!
