We stayed at this hotel last weekend. The room was nice, we had a junior suite and it had a seating area. The shower ran out of hot water straight away on both days we were there so their water tank must be much too small. Not that nice to have a freezing cold shower on holiday to be honest, and for that reason alone I will not return. They also do not serve breakfast, and currently there are construction works on the building starting at 7 am on week days. Due to the construction works there are no views out the windows (there is scaffolding). The location is great, 10-15 min walk from the centre of the old town.
The location and connection to the city center as well as the building were all really great. We had problems with the heating, and we discovered that the radiators weren't working in the whole building, which we hadn't been warned of prior to the check-in. We were told that there were constructions going on in the building, but nothing about heating. The AC worked poorly and had to ask for extra blankets. The breakfast was average.
I stayed here in november last year and it was the worst hotel experience that I’ve ever had. The door to my room didn’t lock, I first noticed this when another guest accidentally came into my room. When speaking to the staff they first told me that it was not a big deal and that they will make sure that no one else comes into my room. Not really the response I was looking for. I asked another person the morning after and they said if it’s not fixed by the end of the day, I get a new room. Now this was a better answer. Night rolls around and a new person in on shift, my door does still not lock. I mentioned my conversation with the previous employee and he simply said that it’s impossible for me to get a new room since they’re fully booked. I had to sleep (Well, I didn’t really sleep because I felt unsafe) with my door unlocked for 3 nights, until they finally fixed it my last night. The staff truly did nothing to fix this problem until my last night and I got no compensation for it! The reason it has taken me almost a year to write this review is because I simply wasn’t going to write one at first. But the more I think about my stay there, the more I feel like this review should be written since this was truly the worst hotel I have ever stayed at! Avoid it!
