Best Western Le Marquis de La Baume

The staff were very pleasant and extremely helpful. An illustration of this is that they helped me send a detailed text message in french when making arrangements with a taxi service. They have a variety of types of rooms. Ours was a standard room which was perfect for our needs. Breakfast started at 7am which allowed us to set out early when we needed to. It is a short 7 minute walk to the Arena and plenty of places to eat nearby. It is also a non pressured 15 minutes walk to the bus and train stations. These were all the things I needed. Certainly a very good small friendly hotel.

Good location, close to the city market, which has a covered city parking. Spacious room, comfortable bed, good hot water pressure in the bathroom. Good nourishing breakfast. The hotel staff is very friendly. The hotel’s lobby and passages are unusual and very interesting, as the hotel is located in an ancient building.

The room was overall good but the shower was not working properly. As I was very busy with work I did not reported it but not the best experience to take a shower, also the ceiling was damaged but nothing too bad. One night was not particularly good as there were noises coming from the yard that seemed to be works of construction or mocing heavy metals or something. When people were speaking on the hall, it was clear and loud so not the best experience with disrespectful guests. I only selected this hotel due to the beautiful stairs which are indeed magnificent. There is AC and soap, shampoo and body lotion from Nexus so very good on that side. The staff were very nice and the location is okay but sometimes very strange people are in the road so it doesn't feel very safe for a woman alone at night.
