Best Western Plus 61 Paris Nation Hotel

My room was nice and clean, the staff were friendly and I was very pleased with my stay and will use the hotel again. It is conveniently placed and reasonably priced.

Room is bit small but facilities are fine, quite bad design of the faucet which gets water all over the floor. Reception is the most unwelcoming I have ever experienced.

The hotel is not in a very nice area, but it is well connected through public transport and there are cozy areas within short walking distance. The room was very small. Also elevator and corridors are very tiny. Breakfast is also small, and for a charge of 18€ I would recommend it to no one. You can go to any bakery or restaurant around the corner and have a feast for half the price. Service is downright BAD. We had to ask in reception to have our room cleaned and new towels every day, and it was still sometimes ignored. We stayed for seven nights, and three of those our room was not attended. In addition, they repainted the walls on our floor, and there was no warning. One day when we woke up, the entire corridor was covered in plastic, and when they started plastering the walls the residue was left on our door and handle, which is easily wiped off, but felt very dirty. On check-in, we paid the tourism tax, and on check-out, they tried to charge us again if we could not provide a receipt. Also, no questions how we liked our stay or anything. Of the many people we saw attend the reception, there were varying levels of service and proficiency in English. I don't want to throw them all under the bus, but the standard was simply low.
