Best Western Plus Bentley Hotel

Stayed here whilst on a business trip to Lincoln. The staff and service were exceptional. Food was good quality and rooms clean. I would definitely stay here again.

This hotel should be alot better than it is.. one night stay and my only night stay that's for sure. Firstly prior to my stay, I was informed the spa and pool area were closed due to an unforeseeable leak in the pool. This has been since at least February, so offering this service as a perk against competition in the area isn't seen as important by the chain? The hotel staff were helpful and friendly, though getting services at the bar took a trip to reception. Food and drink was average so the prices on reflection were high and the cooking fat used gave a strange taste. The breakfast in the morning however, was nice which was one of the few postives of my stay. There were 3 small benches, 3 chairs and 3 tables at the front of the hotel to soak up some early April Sun, in a group of 6 that posed issues to other hotel users. The room should be used in an escape room setting, as after one night I wanted out so quick you'd be able to light a cigarette off the hinges! The bed had more dips and bumps than a rally circuit, it smelt stale, the tv offering analogue tv was almost impossible to watch due to poor signal. Luckily there was no ironing equipment as if I'd done the iron test on the matress, I'd probably say I'd have found bed bugs. It's only saving grace was the water temperature and pressure, which 9/10 in hotels, you get that anyway. Avoid!

Staff is really nice and helpful and it is in a good location due to close proximity to the place I was visiting. However, the spa was closed due to a major leak which caused the need for a major refurbishment. The room is very dated and dirty. The entire place was quite overpriced compared to what I was getting. Definitely not worth it.
