I would absolutely recommend getting a room at this hotel for your Sofia: the staff is kind, the rooms are clean and the breakfast selection is wide. It's more or less 10 minutes from the synagogue and it's 2 minutes from a tram stop that will take you anywhere. 100% recommended

The hotel is in a very convenient location, only a 15-minute walk to the city centre. The rooms are quite outdated, but clean. The breakfast buffet had a great variety of options, and the receptionists were very helpful when we asked them to recommend places around the city. And even though it's on a min street, there was no noise at night.

I booked two nights (June 14–16) via Booking.com. We checked in late on June 14, around 10:00 PM, with my family. From the very beginning, the reception area made a poor impression: the furnishings looked worn and outdated, with greasy tables, and the receptionist was occupied with her mobile phone rather than assisting us. We were given Room 607, a so-called "family room," which was in terrible condition. The carpet was stained all over, and the slanted ceiling made the space feel uncomfortable and cramped. I spent the night worrying about fleas or bedbugs and couldn’t sleep at all. The following morning, we were served what I can only describe as the worst hotel breakfast I’ve ever had. All three main options were unacceptable: canned boiled mushrooms, scrambled eggs that looked like leftovers ground together with eggshells in a blender, and cold sausages. The hard-boiled eggs were stone cold. The “muffins” were inedible, dry, and stale. The small bread rolls were hard to bite into. What was supposed to be juice was a watery colored liquid that didn’t resemble real juice at all. I complained at the front desk and informed them that we were leaving immediately. I checked out at 9:00 AM and requested a refund for the second night, which we did not use. However, I was charged 260 BGN for a single night, which is outrageous considering the conditions and the distress we experienced.
