The Best Western Centurion consistently delivers solid value for money. Clean, efficient, and well-located, it offers convenient access to nearby attractions while maintaining a peaceful, well-kept setting. The staff are particularly noteworthy - friendly, helpful, and consistently accommodating, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere throughout each stay. Breakfast is reliably good, with a variety of options to suit different preferences. For those looking to stay active, the hotel’s gym is impressively well-equipped, and the on-site golf course, while compact, provides an enjoyable and relaxed round for players of all levels. Having returned several times, I can confidently say the Centurion offers a dependable and enjoyable stay - and I’ll continue to choose it in the future.
We stayed at the Centurion for a friend’s party which was at the hotel. The hotel is in a great location and the grounds were really nice. All the food we ate (lunch in the restaurant, the party buffets, and breakfast) was uniformly excellent. However I did feel that service was sometimes inattentive, especially at breakfast, and we had to ask to be served a couple of times. The room was pretty good but the lack of air conditioning was a real issue, especially during a heatwave. I see a number of other guests have pointed this out and a bit of investment would go a long way to improving the guest experience.
Plenty of space, comfortable bed, included a bath and a shower which were lovely to use, nice large tv in room too. Was however rather noisy at times, everytime a door was opened on my hallway my room door would shake as though someone was trying to get in which was rather disconcerting Arrived to find my provision for dinner was useless as dinner service was finished and no other alternatives were suggested or provided, not ideal after a 4 hour car journey without food breaks as dinner was included in booking. Used hotel order card to order a warm breakfast for the next morning which was hung outside room from 11.30 pm, the instruction was to do so by 5am the day of breakfast so was done in plenty of time only for me to wake at 7am to find no one had bothered to check for any orders, though annoying I figured I could still go and get the breakfast I wanted only to find they were serving just a cold platter breakfast with none of the hot options on the card, a rather disappointing experience. The location is pleasant with large grounds and is within decent driving distance to various locations of interest but beware of the extremely steep roads you will need to traverse as well as the absolutely unnecessary 20 mile per hour speed limit for much of the surrounding area which while not the hotels fault is a feature of the location as a whole.
